To work with the Scoutcraft Director to develop and execute a
quality first year camper program.

Holds a valid certificate of training from the Outdoor Skills section of the National Camping School or has equivalent
skills.
Experience teaching children (10-12).
Description
The Scoutcraft Assistant Director - TFC must have knowledge of and be able to teach the
requirements set out for the first year camper program. Specific responsibilities include:
Aid the Scoutcraft Director in the supervision and motivation of the TFC staff in all
their activities.
As assigned, aid the Scoutcraft Director in the training of the TFC staff in all of their
activities.
Assume full direction of the first year camper area of the Scoutcraft area in the
absence of the Scoutcraft Director, unless otherwise directed.
Offer a quality first-year-camper program which may include requirements from
the Tenderfoot through the First Class ranks.
Assist in the set-up and take down of a quality Scoutcraft area.
Assist the Scoutcraft Director in the maintenance, inventory, security, safety, and
wise use of Scoutcraft Area equipment used in the first year camper program.
Maintain strict discipline at all times when campers, leaders, and other staff are in
the area.
Promote the Order of the Arrow and other special programs (ex. NYLT, NAYLE, etc.).
Participate in all camp-wide activities.
Assist in the set-up and take-down of all camp facilities.
All other duties as assigned.
