Role Objective

To instruct campers in Fishing and Fly-Fishing merit badges
and execute a recreational fishing program.

Reports to

Ecology Assistant Director - Fishing and Ecology Director

Requirements

Must be in good standing with the Boy Scouts of America, Conquistador Council, and Wehinahpay Mountain Camp.

Preferences

Description

The Fishing Instructor will assist the Ecology Assistant Director - Fishing in the operation

of the Lake during scheduled merit badge classes, and at other times as directed. Specific

responsibilities include:

  1. Conduct the Fishing and Fly-Fishing merit badges.

  2. Conduct recreational fishing as program schedule dictates and time, camper

  3. interest, and other duties permit.

  4. Assist in the set-up and take-down of a quality lakefront instructional area and Ecology Area.

  5. Maintain strict discipline at all times when campers, leaders, and other staff are in

    the area.

  6. Participate in all camp-wide activities.

  7. Assist in the set-up and take-down of all camp facilities.

  8. All other duties as assigned.
